Meat and Poultry

Meat and poultry transportation, weather long and short distance has become a subject of attention by regulators and health authorities. Today exports of red meat from Argentina, Brazil and Australia use sistematically strick quality control as long distances increase the risk of breaking the cold chain particulary on transit sites. New guidelines are however imposing stricter control within the same continent as break on the cold chain does not only jeopardize health and qualitiy of the meat but also influences the shelf life of the product. Escort has provided its instrumentation to institutions such as the Cold Chain Management  Group of the Universtity of Bonn on research to improve the quality and shelf life of meat during transportation within Europe.
